F303 Combo

Can u guys give me a good combo to compensate with an f303 cam??

of course within reasonable price too. I have a cobra intake, 1.7 RR, and 65mm TB.
I was planning on getting gt40 heads and porting them and doing valve work, and getting longtube headers along with 1 chamber mufflers. Kinda crazy i know but i love the loud lol. Will the heads be enough, is the 1.7 RR too much? tips plz? Thanks in advance :nice:

I would talk to anderson motorsports. they offer top notch advise and put together some killer H/C/I combos. They can tell you exactly what you need after you give them some background info.
 
ok so i just called AFM and told the guy that i wanted to know what cam i should go for. i told him i was planning on going for gt40's ported, cobra intake and the other things i have. he asked me what gears will i have. i told him 3.55's and they said the cam to go with the setup i want would be a b21. all their cams are $299.

[SIZE=-1]Same as B-31 except utilizing 1.7 R.R. N2O or S/C 8-15 lb 302 c.i.d. Best performer for 1.7 R.R., stock pistons and 6200 rpm. Great with TFS or Edelbrock heads. Minimum 30lb injectors and 80mm mass air. Recommend 3.55 or 3.73 gears. Good drivability down to 1900 rpm, mild idle, rpm range 2400-6200, works best with 89-93 EEC, needs 2600-3000 converter. Great N.A. cam for 94-95 Mustang with great drivability. With bolt-down R.R., needs 0.040" longer push rods.

should i go for it?? i would need to convert to MAF, and new injectors too. we r talking about a good 500-600 bucks. is it really worth it?? and thats only for those three things. i still need to buy the heads, exhaust and gears. thats a grand total of about.....a grand (give or take).

Based on what premise?

It works extremely well for my setup.
every N/A setup I have ridden in with an F303 has let me down, especially if it's in a daily. they have all fallen flat on their faces off the line and if you are driving stop light to stop light they make life miserable.
The only car that I have been in that responded well to the cam had a vortech s trim on it.
they do sound mean though.
 
I had an E cam, GT40 heads, unknow roller rockers, Cobra upper and lower and 24 lb injectors in my 91 GT I used to have and it sounded mean, and was fast. The only thing holding it back was the AOD trans. That thing felt so slow unless I did the AOD shuffle.
 
+1 i love my f-cam seems to make good power with my combo.... the F cam seems like a better blower/turbo cam than a N/A cam....

Ha not to be captain obvious, but it is designed for a blower. For whom ever said it sucked, your nuts. It works awesome with a power added, and also has great street manners. It also sounds sick, specially with a blower.
 
I built a motor , used the f- cam , cobra intake , stock e-7's slightly ported myself ,1.6 rr stock block and pistons a real buget motor. Here were the #'s 260 rwhp n/a the guy at the dyno said that was very good and thought it was higher than most e- camed cars he ever dyno'ed.
The next time I dynoe'd it I had a blower on it just a vortech a trim @ 7lb's it made 340 rwhp.
I thought it was amazing.
 
yeah i know, i found a site that specializes in all that. but i dont want to pay 200 somthing bucks. im probably going to look for a computer and harness at the junkyard. Just a random question, but does it have to be the computer and
harness from a 5.0 mustang? any other cars i can take it from? and how about a 4cyl mustang? theres quite a few at the junkyard by my house.
