I can taste the 12's now. I was running about 22 lbs in the tires so getting a bit of spin, and forgot my tire gauge and pump, so couldn't let any out, but I finally ran the '05. They were packed, so I only got 2 runs in. I ran a 13.2 first time out, and followed that up with the following.

R/T .211
60' 1.881
330' 5.391
1/8 8.367
MPH 84.67
1000 10.931
1/4 13.077
MPH 106.92

Last time out we figured out the shift to 4th wasn't needed due to the larger tires, so that's when Aimee's dad hit the 13.2. I got a great launch, but a bit of wheel spin. With about 17lbs in the tires, I'm very confident I would've hit 12's. Still not bad for my first time out with the car. Got to rub it into her dad, which was nice :nice: I didn't take the '07 out tonight, because I wanted to drink after racing and didn't want to drive home. Having not driven the car with the drag radials before, it's crazy how the thing hooks. The first trip down I had a grin ear to ear and started cackling at the end, knowing I'd ran a good time.

Nice! Now you know for sure that the problem was the driver, not the car. Pretty much anything could influence that car getting into the 12s, it's so close. Tell me now though, how'd you finally get your fionce to let you drive it?

Haha. Well, I didn't want to drive on 4th of July and wanted to drink a bit after racing, so we just took her car, and her dad didn't go, so there was plenty of time.

Congrats! So... Which car is going to be first with forced induction? :D
My '07 is getting Zex in a few months. :nice:

Its very possible. I did it on bolt on's and only 297rwhp in my 2005. I did it on ET Streets, have to drop down to 12psi (26x11.50x17) and you have to Launch hard.
I always Launched off the rev limiter 6,250....And it always produced the same results 1.6 sec 60ft times. If the track was prepped I could run 12.7et all day, and my best was a 12.6et.

Here's a couple of videos of my previous mustang.

Yup. Full weight. Both cars with 18's on the front and 17's in the rear. I took the jack and spare out of my '07 once and got worse times. Granted, I was on street tires and it seemed that I was hooking less so that could be why. But I'd rather run in full street trim. If I pull out half of my interior just for the track, I'm not proving anything.
