roundup track day

There are no gates to open and there is no "track" day. The NHRA fegs screwed us :notnice: I imagine that the Mustangs Northwest RoundUp Autocross at Evergreen Speedway will probably be starting at 9 am with tech and course walk prior but I won't be there so really I have no idea.

Tech begins at 7am, driver meeting at 8am, racing begins at 9am. Don't be late! I'm quite excited to do some competitive cornering myself! Maybe next year we can negotiate something for another track day at pacific raceways.

Just an FYI....

Although it may not be the same as running on the track with a herd of Mustangs, I've enrolled in a track day at Pacific Raceway with the NW Alfa club- Wednesday July 23rd. There maybe still spots available. From my past track expierances with this club I can confirm that these guys run a great show.

I've decided to skip the whole Round Up event this year:
1) Conflict with the NHRA event
2) Traffic HELL with the 2 events so close in proximity to one another
3) Disappointed in an autocross, it just isn't what the event has been known for

Feel free to pass my opinions on to next years planning committee. NHRA has already released the 2009 schedule so there should be plenty of time to avoid a conflict next year.

In spit of it all I hope all goes well, I would like to return with our cars to particpate in future Round Up's...

Hope every one is having fun today. I too look forward to a return of the Open Track event next year.
There are some other events coming up for people to consider.

Good post and reminder- :nice:
I'm already pre registered for the SAAC Track day, but there is an error on there web page, I confirmed with Mark Pendergrass that it is Tuesday / Sept 2nd the day after Labor Day.

The Alfa day on the 23rd has been full for awhile now. I tried signing up a week or two ago and was on a waiting list 9 deep. Looking forward to doing their next one. Was on the track for their twilight lapping day a month ago and it was a good event.

Sorry to bear the bad news but there will not be a roundup track event at Pacific Raceways next year. The 2009 roundup again is the same weekend as NHRA. I confirmed this with Mustangs Northwest or whatever it is months ago. Yeah it sucks. I didnt feel like taking a day off work to drive to Monroe and do autox today but sounds like it was fun.

Wish we could have another dedicated Ford/Mustang day at the track.

Thanks for the update, I guess that leaves things wide open for a trip to Miller Motorsport Park next year.

That would be fun, I've always thought about taking my car down to california and doing a track day somewhere down there. For now though I'll stick to local stuff.

I think I'll sign up for the SAAC event Sept. 2nd in Portland and the Alfa day Sept 11th at Pacific. Any other good ones coming up?
