Thats why I wanted him to post what happen... I dont know what to do..... I mean the engine was fine! I think I would of seen shavings in the oil or something!!!!!Or herd squeaks!

that whole thing that he got screwed with a blown block before, gives me a gut feel that he's trying to pull one on you.

is there any way to tell what brand bearings are? if there is i would check it to see if they are the same brand of bearings that he posted, and crank.

could bearings look like that with only the limited amount of use that you had on the engine?

good luck,
joe

Now he is saying thats the only block he has!!!!!

This guy had 4 Mustangs, and garage full of enigne parts, a Mopar long block, and countless rims with slicks...And I only had a glimpse at his garage

When people buy stuff from me it is sold AS IS and they know that. I KNOW anything I sell worked when I took it off or I junk it. If it STOPS running the minute they play around with it I don't care! This is why I seel it a little cheaper as their is NO GUARANTEE> It is THEIRS. So far every one of you have been honest people.

But one day you will run into some jerk that tries to screw you. Guero, YOU know it ran well when you sold it to him right? WE know you are an honest person. You sold it, its gone and its HIS problem now. End of story in my o.

it did run. like I said i was planning on keeping it, but money was tuff and I needed a cat-back and I decided that if my fox blew Id rather do a 351. Plus I thought it was pretty cheap at that price any way. I wouldnt sell somethong that was broken unless I said it was broken. Hell I even threw away my t5 cuz it was broken im sure it was fixable but the thought that it wasnt or something didnt set right with me

pokageek has a point... thats how i usually sell my stuff... once its out of my hands, its on them... plus man, its only the internet... so what u get a bad name there... ur here more often than none... well take u in even if your a scammer or not :D

jk!! but seriously, theres always some ******* out there trying to bash u... just something funny about this whole situation on his end, not yours

thanks everyone!Like I told soemone on pms on here I honestly was gonna try to work with him as I felt bad but his first post he tried calling me a thief when I told him 2 post that to get everyones opinions. But he started of bashing and giving me a bad name.
So I really dont care to help him out anymore.

its his own stupidity for not checking the oil pan until the next day. If i'm buying an engine from someone, I'm going to pull the pan off when they are there to make sure everything is cool. Also used parts are sold AS IS, if you want something gauranteed then buy new. I wouldn't sweat it man, he's probably trying to pull some shady **** on you.

buck that....Ive made plenty of mistakes he should learn to check it b4 you buy it. and the mraning of as is...

Exactly! The guy (93mustank) as much as admitted to checking the cam bearings and inspecting the cylinder walls before buying. It is Guero's fault that the guy chose not to pull one of the mains and inspect the rest of the bottom end while he was down there?

And let’s be honest....for a total investment of what, $300 ($200 cash and trade for his exhaust), he still got a pretty good deal whether the engine ran or not. Lets be realistic here, $300 wouldn't even cover the cost of a bare block in most cases now a days, never mind one that was delivered to the door with a fresh bore and new pistons?!? This guy just needs to suck it up, install a new crank and chalk this one up to poor planning and/or inspection on his part. If he’s that hurting for cash, that he’s quibbling over a measly $400, he should just park the car and take the bus! I mean.....come on.....Christ, my car cost me $100 every time I turn a wrench! :bang:

*AFTER READING THE THREAD FURTHER*

You need to stop being nice to this guy and tell him to talk a walk. azvforce is %100 correct in his assessment on the situation in posts #39 and #41 and because this guy (93mustank) doesn't like what he hears, he's completely dismissing his remakes and basically calling him an ******* for making them. He asks for comments and opinions, but is only interested in hearing the ones that benefit his side of the arguement.

I say tell him he needs to quit contacting you and slandering your rep or you'll be forced to take legal action.

You can feel free to cut and past my remarks into that thread as well if you'd like! I'd be interested in hearing his response (although I'm already pretty sure I know what it's going to be).

BTW - I don't mean I dont care if someone runs into some bad luck cuz I do care. But used parts are sold as is. Period. Otherwise, anyone can throw some nitrous on a motor, put it together wrong, or do whatever else to the part and spend YOUR money with their idiocy. and blow it the next day. How do we know what anyone does with it after they have been toying around with it?? Plus a used part by nature CAN break. Now its rare it would break if you checked it out before you sold it. I am saying that the chances are statistically MUCH higher that:

1. The buyer is trying to scam you.
2. or the buyer BLEW it up himself

when you sell a used part that yo uknow nothing is wrong with. Even so, I have to re-iterate. Used parts are sold as is..with good intentions from the seller. To be extra careful - always say that when you sell it. Or no sale.
