Hey all, I am the dude that submitted the spouse thread a while back. My gorgeous, amazing, talented and smoking hot wife told me earlier this week "If this is something that is important to you, of course I will support you in your Mustang purchase". Since that moment, I have been glued to autotrader for the past three days looking for my new ride. I thought I would throw out a post to the group, since I seem to be all over the place in my options. I would like to know what vehical you all think I should purchase. Here are my options:
07 GT, 11000 miles Roush Cold Air Intake, 17" Brushed Torq Rims, Alloy Paint $22500
This was the first Mustang I saw and I really liked it. Very clean, like new. I am just not sure I want to go with Alloy. It may be too menacing. Also, it has the base stereo. I really did not get a chance to test it out, but I was hoping for the Shaker 500.
07 GT, 7000 miles, 18" Pollished Torq Wheels, Torch Red, $22500
I am not sure I want to go with Red either. Too flashy?
07 V6, 17000 miles, 17" Brushed Torq Wheels, Pony Package, Leather, Hurst Shifter, the works, $13000. A V6?!?! I know, but... I really sort of fell in love with this car. (aside from the engine) It is Vista Blue, my current favorite color. I love the shifter. (Granted, I can get a Hurst for any of the cars). And it is SOOOOO cheap. I would be saving $100/month in payments. I realize I would probably grow to really regret the v6. But I am coming from a 4 banger VW golf, so even the V6 mustang is a n upgrade in power. I have a spreadsheet of all the cars I have seen, and this is by far THE most power for the money. Value. I used to wonder why I saw so many V6 mustangs on the road. I can see now it is because Ford just prices them so cheap, its hard to pass up.
Finally, there is a 08 Highland Green Bullitt, 7000 miles, $27000. This is more than I was originally planning to spend, but it is a good deal for a Bullitt. I know the Bullitt is an amazing car, I drove it and I was blown away. Should I break the bank for this car? I would be using it as a daily driver, and I wonder if a Bullitt is too nice/too much of a car for everyday use.
Right now, if I could find a Vista Blue GT for 21000 I would probably go with that. There are none in my area available. Should I wait? Also, last week I was dead set on an Alloy GT, and the week before that, dead set on a Tungsten GT. So, my tastes tend to change a lot.
Thoughts????
