i put a set of comp cam 278's in my oo gt,i bought a typhoon intake, and i have upper plenum and t/b.i've basicly got everything comp recommends except for headers! i cant decide which kind to go with,i've always liked l/t's but my pockets are gettin' empty so thought of going with shorty's. any info on this subject would be great, which helps the most or more torque...so guys help me out here :flag:

LONGTUBES!!! Especially with those cams. Even without the cams after i put my lt's on i noticed an immediate increase in tq. Shorties are a waste of metal and money. Flotechs are only like 250 or something like that. You can find lt's pretty cheap you just gotta look. Or save a little for a while.

LONGTUBES!!! i just order my lt's last night from summit, i dont have a lot of money to spend eigher, (im 17 and a dishwasher at a local resturant) so i went with the flowtechs, i have read a lot of good thigs about them too, shipped to my front door was $281:D

man i miss those days, i wish i was 17 again working as a dishwasher smoking herb and spending everything i had on video games and car toys...

One thing of advise...... when you get your headers i would paint them with some rustolem. I have had mine for a few years now, and they are shot... i would have got something else but just like everyone else i was broke and just got them and threw them on... They are ********* looking (not like you can see them very easy) but thats just my .02

It will take you no time to paint them and save you alot of trouble in the long run:nice:

I think my shorties sound awesome :) I couldnt afford new Xpipe to fit the LTs so had to get shorties. Installed them when I put the new heads on, the easy way:) Isnt the air going in more important than air going out anyways!!
