I need a pair of 16 inch wheels to put some track-only tires on my 08 Mustang. SN95 wheelsa re the cheap route but I am wondering about the backspacing. I know they will stick out more, but how significant is it? Will it be enough that it will be a problem?

Stock width is not too bad. I ran factory '03 Cobra wheels(wider) out back and it was still under the fender.

I had no issues with rocks, but the track is only a 20 min drive for me. I had the dr's on my 95 and thought i'd give it a shot. I plan keeping these rims for dr's as this set fits both cars and they don't look horrible on there plus they are kinda light. I just wish my prostars fit the white car or i'd run them!

i put some 28X10's slicks on a pair for the track, here is a video of running em.
Wow....that's a lot of tire for a mostly stock Mustang. I'm betting they probably hurt you more with the additional weight, drag and diameter than they actually helped?

My favorite....:rlaugh:

Next up, Station wagon's going up against a GT.....500.....T, never heard of that before?

hmm, mostly stock, thats cute. . yeah i took the gt-500 t off of it because everyone was asking if it was a shelby.. . now it just says Turbo in small lettering

Sorry...I guess I should have checked your mods in your sig before commenting. I was making the guess based on your run in the video. Either way, you don't seem to be making anywhere near enough power/torque down low to justify such a tall tire. You probably would have been better off with a 27” DOT drag radial IMO.

not they fit under the fenders fine, and no problems with rock chips. i was running 355 gears and a five speed in that video, im runnin a 4r70w now, it launches much better, 1.8 60' and with the 410's im puttin in, along with the trans brake, it should be in the 1.6's
