its like the charger a boat lol. they look nice though i really like them. but they already have huge dealer mark ups on them. so i wouldnt buy one lol. actually in the proces of convincing the old man he needs a gt500kr or a c6 z06 lol.

LOL what a joke....40+K for a high 13 second car? I saw the auto version vs the GT500 in a magazine test. The GT500 totally RAPED the Challenger in every category from what I remember, performance wise.....yet the retards gave the win to the challenger due to it being new and "funner to drive" or something like that.

The magazine should say "Brought to you by Dodge" on it

halarious

its a heavy overrated car. Not the first. In the end, its still a muscle car. Lose a little weight, get a set of drag radials on it, and Ill bet it will run with or outrun a stock 4.6 with drag radials. Look at the trap speed, not too many stock PI cars running 103mph. Also, if the runs were done in the daytime like the video shows, and its recent, chances are the entire run was in heat and humidity. It would be more beneficial to see what the problem is.

I'd still love to have one, only a six-speed though.

I have a feeling that car has more than a 13.8 in it though.

If not, it still looks, stops, and handles pretty damn good. Don't think there won't be an aftermarket for these cars that significantly increase the power output.

Forget the acceleration... if they are so heavy they can only run a 14 with that much power, then imagine how badly they handle! It must be awful! Shame because it looks quite nice.

Yes, it is a boat but so is everything else C/D makes. It was either build the car off the same chasis as the Magnum, 300 and Charger or don't build it at all. They just don't have the money.

Look at it this way though, when the new Camaro comes out, we'll be bitching at Ford for not giving us that kind of power out of the show room. In the meantime, these "boats" with mods are going to get their share of wins.

At the end of the day, every auto manufactorer that puts muscle on the street benefits us all. :nice:

That's what makes it an "era".

I still think capable drivers will be able to better the 13.8 that Edmunds got.

Think about it, SRT-8 300's run a low 13, SRT-8 Chargers run lower 13's... This car isnt THAT different from them. I am sure it doesn't weigh more than the two I just mentioned.

The handling looked pretty flat and secure in the video, but i'd be interested to see what numbers it pulls on the skidpad.

119 feet 60-0 is good, no doubt about it.
