...my '04 V6 'Stang for their '06 V6 Stang (Pony Package).

I only have one thing to say:

THEY ARE NOT GETTING THIS CAR BACK!

I know it's not a GT but, damn... the Shaker 500 stereo is my favorite part.

its one of my favorite features of my new car also.

I'm a big music guy, but in my car i like hearing the car, and then once and a while the radio, and for what i need it for. its more then perfect.

I haven't noticed my speed sensitive sound work too well, i will have to put up the sensitivity, i'm barely ever at highway speeds.

the 6 cd changer, the sirius satellite radio, the aux input, i think 07s the first year for that feature.

Hmmmm, I haven't used the CD player yet. Just the radio. Sounds damn good compared to the crappy stereos in my two foxes and the not-so-crappy one in my '04.

This car is a dream to drive too BTW. Reminds me of the old '67 coupe I used to have.

Don't give it back. I've never had problems with my shaker 500 and its the best sound system I've ever had in a car. It is a little heavy in the bass though.

Welcome aboard.

Thanks. :nice:

I told my Mom today that I'm keeping her car.

She said the hell I am.

We'll see. She'll have to pry the keys from my cold, dead fingers. :D

Well, it actually used to be their car. They called me from the car dealer telling me they traded it in on the '06 and I hauled ass down there in my Capri and bought it on the spot while they were still closing their deal. That was one happy salesman. haha...

She still loves the '04 but, loves the '06 more.

These cars do remind you so much of the old ones. I hadn't owned a mustang since my 68 gt fastback in 79. When I saw the new S-197, I had to have one. It was my chance to own a new 68 again, at least close enough. What surprised me was how fast they were, I thought the old muscle cars days were gone for good, "NOT". This car is faster than my 68 GT with it's 428 CJ. The 428 ran low 14's, but in fairness, it need3ed slicks. The 428 was a torque monster, it would melt the tires. If I could of gotten the power to the ground, it might of run 12's. Anyhow, here this little 281 runs low 13's right out of the box. I was taken back in time 30 years, this car helped me find myself again.

This is what happens when you live on a dirt road (parents place) . I'll be detailing the engine bay this coming weekend.

My old mustang had two different radio decks, one for the radio and one for the CD player. I hated that.

To eliminate skipping with the MP3 CD function using the Shaker 500, use a quality CD-R/CD-RW disc and burn it using Windows XP's built-in burning function (right clicking, etc...) Avoid using a dedicated burning app such as Nero, Roxio, or other programs.

Once I did this, the Shaker 500 works BEAUTIFULLY.

I will remember that. :nice:

If you use Nero use the burn MP3 CD function. I do that all the time and it has never skipped a beat on every CD I made.
