I don't see why it bothers you.
A, it looks better than a hatch saleen focus to me.
B, without saleen selling parts to people who build clones, they would be out of business.
C, nowhere in the ad does he claim it's real, he actually states that he installed the parts.

The only time it's an issue to me is when they try and pass it off as real when they are trying to sell it.

Actually I used to own a sister car to your Escort wagon; a 1994 Mercury Tracer. It was Calypso Green with a tan interior. I think I received more compliments on that car due to the exterior color than I've ever received from all the Saleens, Mustang GT's, SVT's & other vintage Fords I've owned over the years combined (OK, maybe that's stretching it a bit, but it was a lot).

That Tracer was one of the most fun cars to drive even though it only had 91HP or something like that. Combined with the 5-speed manual it was a hoot to throw around corners & just wind it out.

As the old saw goes; "It's more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow."

Considering today's fuel prices, I wish I still owned that peppy little car...
