How will pulling the Vert front cross-brace affect my car?

Sorry I meant "PULLING" lol...Hi guys. The long-tubes are on. They had to pull the bottom welded cross brace. They cant get to dynoing it til Tuesday.

I do have subframes on it..they are kenny brown T-type both welded and bolted. Will my car flex more now? shake or cowl increase? Are the subframes I have ok?

I also had to remove the strut tower brace. Anyone have any suggestions on other chassis stiffening or something that will fit my car?

Let me know how it works out for you. I still drag every once in a while, even with the taller Pro Kits. Shoot, if I'd known I could have taken off the cross brace, I could have kept the 2" drop springs!:(

No problems here. I'm running with full length welded sub frame connectors and no strut tower brace. To be honest the car feels more solid with this set up than it did with the original.

If I were launching hard on slicks I might rethink the situation but as a street car this set up is fine.

What's the point of this? Weight reduction I can understand if at the track...otherwise there's NO WAY removing it makes anything better than having it there.

I can't say from experience but common sense is whispering in my ear.

The sense is gaining about 55 HP that is now plugging up my car due to lack of exhaust air flow. Big block c.i. gain or LOSE tremendous power if the combo is underpar. I also have alot of chassis tightening mods in my car as you can see in sig.

I left mine off after installing LT headers too. The x brace hit the headers just before the collectors (on the driver's side if I remember right). I notched the brace out, and that gave me enough clearance until I fired it up. Running I still get contact between the headers and brace.

Since running without the brace, all seems fine. I'm running MM weld on subframe connectors and strut tower brace. The net sum of the subframe connectors, improved strut tower brace and deleted x brace seem to be a bit stiffer than stock. But that's just IMHO.

Don't they make aftermarket piece for verts that will clear the long tubes? I am wondering who...MM or someone???

I would like to keep the bracing also but i would like to know if there is such thing available for 94-95 verts.
