Probably sounds kinda weird but I put the ultra-clear foglights a while back and upgraded to silverstar ultra bulbs right away and then i started noticing the chrome bubbling up. I just let it go and finally I guess it got so bad it let in water and shattered the bulb so I decided to replace the bulbs and they were fused together from the heat. I decided to order a new set, got them in yesterday and decided to keep the factory bulb in thinking the ultras were the problem... well after 5-10 minutes having them on adjusting them I seen them starting to bubble and I touched the lens and it was sooo hot. I don't know whats going on. Anyone have this problem? I'm not trying to buy a new set every 2 weeks

I didn't have silverstars, but they were a blue/white xenon bulb. One bulb burnt out after a couple month and I noticed the housing had melted a little. A couple months later they were pretty rough. I just haven't turned them on since then. :(

I just ordered some smoked headlights, and I plan to get the fogs to match. I'm going to use the stock bulbs and hope they don't melt.

Out of curiosity what's the point of running with "FOG" lights on. Cool Not. Most are aimed incorrectly and are an annoyance to oncoming traffic. If fact a large number of jurisdictions prohibit their use when not required (I must admit that the revelent section of the MVA is not rigorously enforced) but be aware. Any active law enforcement personnel want to comment.
