Trick flow top end kit problems???

What you need is 24lb injectors, 70mm TB, PMAS mass air meter calibrated for 24lb injectors and an Adjustable Fuel pressure regulator.

I wouldn't have even attempted such a swap on a speed density car. First thing i would have done is convert to MAF.

I'd also give the engine a good spray with some carb cleaner to check for vac leaks. Which Intake gaskets did you use to seal the lower onto the heads?

He did. Check post #3.

I agree with others. Set the timing to 10 and confirm all of the vacuum hoses are in good shape and hooked up properly. I just started mine for the first time on Friday after the H/C/I upgrade and I couldn't be happier. Steady 800 RPM idle with no noise (other than the RR, I knew they would be noisy) and no stalling. If you look at my sig you'll see that I used a whole bunch of parts from different manufacturers and still it runs right.

ya i got the front 2 pluged adn teh back big one i put the stock vac tree thing with the 1 big port and 2 small ports and on the side of the upper i put the one from teh stock side. the one that splits 2 ways. i have the fuel regulator from one of the smal ones and the egr/smog lines on the other small one. and the big one from the tree i have going to the PCV. on the "side" of the upper i have one of the ways pluged and the other goes to the charcole canister purge line. and the last line from the bottom back of the upper goes to teh source for the brakes and such..

But the stalling problem has been fixed by a simple turn of the idle screw. dosnt idle higher but it stayes up when i downshift untill i compleatly stop. also now i can sit at idle all day and it wont die.

Wish I caught this thread sooner. That would have def. been one thing I would have suggested. My car Most definetly had to have the TB set screw tweaked a bit to get her to idle where I wanted it. And just for the record that trick flow combo is excellent imo. I have it except the Cam they offer I went with an E303 instead and I love it. :flag: :nice:

I just did a trick flow kit also very nice stuff. I had the same whistling problem from intake turns out the idle was set too high. Had it in for dyno 298 wheel horse on dynojet. Am havving same problem with it dying while coming up to stop sign, the dyno gut looked everything over said it looked good so probabaly electrical problem$$$? But i do not run the vaccume line from valve cover to throttle body smog pump is rempved along with char cans. He tried fixing problem in the sct chip nothing he did made a difference
