need C4 Driveshaft for 65 stang

Where do i get a drive shaft for a 65 stang? Or am i going to have to buy a custome one?

I've got a C4 driveshaft from my '66 that I'll sell you. It was originally hooked up from my C4 to a 6 cylinder rear-end so the u joint might need swap but I'll give you a good deal on it. Send me a PM if you're interested.

was the 289 drive line the same length as the 6cyl??

Measure your current drvieline from ctr to ctr of the U-joints. If it's about 45-46 inches, the shafts from the 79-2004's will fit. I replaced the shaft in my 77 Comet with one from a 2002 Stang. 45.75" long. Should be about the same length as a 65-66.

c4 to 8 inch shafts are 51 inches long center to center. they are pretty common for c4 cars.. the rear joint is also pretty common for 8 inch cars.. I had a custom one made for my car, 3.5 inch aluminum with 1350 joints and billet yokes..

And yes the 6 cyll shaft will work too.

Not recommended for hot motor or anything though. I got away with running the 6 cyl shaft for about a year.
