New engine build with supercharger?

i supercharged my motor and blew it so iam rebuilding the entire motor and have some questions. first will a 7 qt oil pan fit without any problems? im wanting to make at least 500rwhp and i dont know what kind of fuel system to run. right now im running a svt focus pump and 42# injectors. can i use this pump with a BAP and deliver enough fuel to make the power.

Exhaust leaks don't cause engines to blow. You should figure out why the first engine blew before dumping more money in it. Ever get a dyno showing the air fuel ratios?

What exactly happen to the previous engine when it failed?

when i pulled the old motor apart one of the vlaves was broken and the entire engine just looked burnt up. the dyno had the car unwinding to over 7 grand and i dont know what my air fuel ratio looked like. i also read later on that i needed to drill holes in the pump basket so that it didnt run dry. i hadnt done that. the motor only made 320rwhp and so im thinking that i had bad compression on it already. im replacing or fixing everthing that could have caused it. im replacing the entire motor from the ground up and got a new injectors (42# was running 30's) new lightning MAF redoing my fuel pump and adding a BAP. it was nearly impossible to pin point the problem but i think the dyno did a real bad job of tuning.

the exhaust leaks were causing huge explosions when i would let off the pedal coming out of boost and there was a really big one then i lost power.

Exhaust leaks are bad news because they give inaccurate readings to the 02 sensors, and widebands by allowing exhaust not only to escape, but allowing fresh air into the exhaust.

Whatever tuner you took it too sounds like they do not know what they are doing. Simply the fact that they would spin your motor that high, and tune knowing you had exhaust leaks shows the lack of knowledge at that shop.

i agree. i think it was the dyno's fault as well. i didnt even know there were exhaust leaks in it until i got it back.

I'm doing this right now. I will say that I went to a return system with far more success than upgrading my returnless system. However, I also put a fuel cell in. I'm using an Aeromotive 1000 pump and that totally solved my issues. With my current head work, I'm expecting about 500hp on 91 octane and more with higher octane.

i dont want to use a fuel cell and im running out of money and it would cost to much for me to go to a return style.

at 500 hp i would recomend a cobra fuel hat and twin GT pumps, a modded FPDM will make it a little safer also. while you have it out you might as well do the PPRV delete also. that should put you safely to 500 HP.

was it you that had all the for sell a month or so ago? i tried to buy it when i had the money but never got a response.

what kind of power can i make with 42's that i already have? and does anyone know what size pulley i need to run on this vortech to get the boost i need to make my desired power?

The pulley size is going to depend on compression, cams, heads, and everything else. I think you need to figure out your motor set up first, then worry about the pulley.

i was going to go return style but once my BAP finally showed up after 2 months it was enough to put me back in the "safe" zone.

i dont think 42's will take you to 500 HP.
