Well just a few more weeks and I will be back home. I just purchased some very nice Black/Parchment 03 Cobra seats (front and back).

I am also looking at repainting the Cobra another factory Ford color, so when I was home on vacation in July I stoped by a random auto body paint shop and was quoted like $4500-6000. Anyone have any connections or recomendations? Not looking for a award winning show car $$$$$ paint job, but something nice, like when the car came from the factory.

Thanks,

Have you gotten any quotes from a local Ford dealer? I had my Cobra done at Landmark Ford and they seemed pretty reasonable in price per square foot etc. Don't know about an entire car though. Good to hear your finally coming home, if you get down to Portland you are welcome to come over to the new house for dinner.:flag:

$4500-6000 for a color change is very reasonable for a decent quality job from a shop. The only way you'll get it done significantly cheaper would be either a guy working on the side or having Maaco do it and they say "Uh oh" for a reason.

Just finished changing the color on mine. I flew my buddy/painter up from Hawaii and and bought all the suppies. With he and I working on it it took us 5 days and cost me about $1000 to change the color.

 that is one nice coupe, anyways you might look at american painting in renton, painted my buddys 91 lx hatch sonic blue and did a good job i think he paid around $2500-3000 and that included body work,he hade to have his cowl panel fixed due to the hood flying open, and im sure that was a good amount of labor, and
that was painting every thing(engine compartment, door jambs and such)and another good portin was price of the paint.

That sounds great, but I am looking at using the "I want it now factor" I just want to drop the car off for a week or two and pick it back up painted and sexy. If need be I will wait till JAN and use my tax return to paint it.

Everything is painted. For the jams just tape everything off, sand and let the paint fly. I painted the engine bay while the motor was out a couple months ago. I'll try and get pics this weekend.

I more wanted to get justin's opinion on how he did before I recomended him to anyone. I am sure he is capable of doing the job and for a very good price. As justin said part of the trouble would be space and location since he's down here and you're up there and he has no garage to do the prep work in. You can PM him on here if you want to talk with him about it.
