Alternator rattling

My 04 GT has about 43k on it. There is a god awful noise coming from the front of the motor that I have narrowed down to the alternator. When I hold my hand over it I can feel it shake and the pulley is wobbling like crazy. The noise sounds like loud valve chatter that goes up and down with the RPM's. Has anyone ever seen this before? I guess I need a new alternator.

sounds like the bearings are gone you need an alt

Just went through it myself.

Rockauto.com had the best price on a NEW Ford OEM alternator...nearly $100 less than ford
