has stock tranny mount, i looked it over and its fine
motor mounts are fine. im thinking flywheel is out of balance i bought the harmonic balancer and they gave me a 28oz balancer no vibration till i changed out this clutch . took it for a ride earlier and got on it and its slipping so somthing is obviously wrong. looks like im pulling it in the morning maybe even have a mustang bon fire hahahaha

if you have the stock 50 oz flywheel you need a 50 oz balancer. i would swap the balancer before driving again if thats the case. there are definetly dowel pins that go inbetween the flywheel and pressure plate. 3 if i remember correct.

The guy at Car Quest doesn't know much... lol

The stock flywheel for the 5.0 HO is a 50oz. imbalance, and the harmonic damper must be matched to that. If you use a 28oz. or 0oz. component, you're going to wipe out the short block.

Unless you have a stroker or an old style block with two piece rear main seal, the 50oz. will be what you should use at both ends of the crank. (HB & flywheel)

Good luck!

ya i did some research and figured it was the 50 oz anything from 81 up
got new flywheel got it all back together no vibrations they ass wipe that surfaced my flywheel and charged me 40 bucks doing so to mess it up
thinking about going over there and doing burnouts on his head for having me do all this extra work hahah! thanks for all the help guys!

94-95 mustangs have 50 oz imbalance. Make sure your flywheel is 50 oz, and your balancer as well. even if you had both at 28oz imbalance, the crank is not balanced to that so you will wear your motor out prematurely. still vibrating after all that? maybe it's your driveshaft. stock ones suck ass

T5 TRANSMISSION? help

Okay i posted last week with vibrations thought i fixed it but apparently not changed out the clutch pressure plate had the flywheel surfaced didnt fix the vibration problem really bad at higher rpm,s
so i figured it was the flywheel so went bought a new one ford motorsports 50,z
installed it same vibration so i fugured it was the pressure plate so went purchased a whole new clutch pressure plate installed it vibration is still there
have a brand new 50.z harmonic balancer so i know the problem isnt with the engine being out of balance im thinking the shaft in the transmission may be bent or the tranny has a bad bearing in it and its vibrating has anyone had this problem? and any suggestions thanks

If you describe the vibration, when it occurs, what mods you have and when it started, thatll probably make more people willing to help. If not, theyll just be doing what youre doing. You may have posted it all in another post but most people dont want to have to search your posts to find out this info. Replacing parts with no real reason to be doing so is never good, especially on the wallet. What led you to replace the parts you replaced? Any professional diagnosis involve? If its a vibration while driving, check the u joints, make sure e brake isnt seized on. If its a vibration at idle and while driving check your balancer and make sure the rubber isnt seperated from the metal outer portion. Thats pretty common in our cars.

it vibrates when sitting still or moving so has nothing to do with the drive shaft or u-joints any thing i stated in this post is the same as the last nothing different
i changed out the throwout bearing because it was making a ruccus and it did have a vibration before i pulled it out but not as bad as it is now. if anyone has a t5 for sale let me know im 99.9% sure its the tranny just not ready to go and blow $1200 on a transmission right now

Have you checked the harmonic balancer and I mean really got down there and checked it from the bottom. Watch it with the car running? The transmission is the last place Id be looking. If the trannys in neutral I fail to see how it would be causing any vibration. I suppose an improperly torqued flywheel and or pressure plate could cause something similar but youre saying it did this before you tore it down. Id really hate to see you waste your money on a tranny unless you knew for one hundred percent certainty that it was the issue. There are a lot more likely things from my point of view. Ive worked at a Ford dealership for over 5 years and have never seen a manual tranny be the cause of a vibration unless it was having to do with the flywheel or pressure plate. Especially not when sitting at idle. Does the vibration change at all when youre in neutral and press and release the clutch?

Your lack of grammar and punctuation makes it tough to decipher your posts. What components have been replaced between the engine and trans?

Did your balancer come with a removable counterweight(s)? Was the key intact when you installed said balancer?

As Zerochance noted, we get tired of looking up people's old threads (this probably should have all just been a continuation of your first thread anyhow). Here's his first one for those following along:

Good luck.
