My buddy has that diff & ran a best of 10.13 @ 137.7mph in his 88 GT.... his combo is a 306, AFR 185's, Holley systemax, S trim, meth kit etc......

I think axle strength is the big issue here...if you order it with 31 spines then you should be fine unless you're trying to run 1.5 or quicker 60 foot times, in which case you should probably get a locker.
