Are pro. products THrottle bodies decent?

The Typhoon Intake Manifold is great - as long as you have a dremel/grinder and a few hours of spare time to clear out the flash and create a nice fit.

The install of my PP plenum/throttle was a pain

my throttle cable was a PITA to make it work the the plenum...

Now I have a massive vacuum leak where the intake and throttle come together... i'v just been too lazy to take it apart and find the problem.

Ok, i put it in. I still haven't driven it, the directions said to let it get to operating temp. w/o touching the throttle. I did that and now i'm just letting it sit so the computer will learn the start up values.

My review thus far:
*The fitment with this throttle body is utter trash. I probably wouldn't of bought it if i knew it was going to be like this.

*it looks very nice

* my intake for the first time ever made a "whooosh" when i shut the car off

*There are no vaccum leaks spotted thus far

* RIGHT at the filter, there is a constant "wheeeee" it sounds beautiful.

I'm about to go for a drive right now.

Alright, i went for a drive and i am very satisfied.
I feel i made a good choice buying this throttle body. It seems everybodies throttle bodies has problems. BBK whistles and its frikin annoying as heck, Some people complain of rev hanging from ACCUFAB throttle bodies, MAC throttle bodies also whistle, eddlebrock is the same as BBK, and professional products are suppose to have issues. Well, my Profesional products throttle body works flawlessly, and what i am very happy about is NO NOISE. Intake noise (that high pitched whine, and whistle) Is something I CAN NOT stand and i would of been major pissed if it made that kind of noise. The throttle body makes no such noise.

5th gear seems to pull better. Throttle response, every body says its a huge gain in throttle, i didn't notice THAT much of a diffrence on the throttle. The throttle feels stiffer, and i can blip the throttle quicker, Heel/toe feels great now.
What surprised me was the diffrence in exhaust tone. I wasnt expectint it. When i started it up, it sounded the same, but at full throttle, and even cruising just driving normalls, the Exhaust is significantly louder..def. loud enough for me to notice the diffrence. Everyone says it just gets a little deeper but mine got a bit louder. it also sounds..ringy? i guess to say, it sounds like the 351s and 347s at the track when i go WOT and let go really quick

For a mod that everyone says sucks, i like it. I've installed an off road H pipe, mufflers, KN intake, plenum..none of made a diffrence. This is probably the only mod i've installed that made a diffrence.

Glad you are satisfied.

It probaly helped out a bit since it was the kink in the intake system since you have an air intake and plenum.

Exactly what do you mean by "the fitment is trash", I mean what was the problem?

if his is anything like mine, the Plenum doesn't line up perfectly to the throttle body.

I would expect for perfect airflow there not to be a "lip" where the plenum and throttle meet.

on a better note, I went from 14.5 to 13.9 and gained 5mph

shoot, i hear that the typhoon plenum actually causes a power LOSS instead of a gain, i'm just scared to buy it..i don't want to dish out 200 bones on the Accufab. I guess i'll give PP a try

Yup. I have read the same thing and a few buddies who got them lost hp. The plenum fitment was horrible as well. Not sure about their TB.

i just took a drill bit and opened up the hole ever so slightly and everything was gravy.
