I've got a 2005 trx 450r, and I love it. I've always been a Honda man so I'm a little partial to them. The yzf is a good bike and is known to be a little faster but the suspension and reliability I think on the Honda's are far better. I wouldn't go the raptor route.

I ride the piss out of mine and I've never had any problems.

I have ridden quite a few different makes and types of Quads. There is not many that can ride a Quad with me and keep up. I know these are not on your list but they should be if you are looking for a good sport Quad. The BRP Renegade 500 or 800 or the BRP DS-450. There is nothing made by anybody that compares to what those 3 Quads can do right from the factory.

Find yourself a good honda 250R. You cant beat that 2-stroke powerband! My 250R with a slight bore, ported, full exhuast will kill any bike from the factory right now straight or track. Just the other day I raced a modded ds650 and left it ATLEAST 10-15 bikes behind. On a track you cant beat the 250R, thats what this bike is known for. Even on stock suspension (which I had) it handles better than others that are extended and have aftermarket shocks (which Ive proven on the track). The only other bikes I would consider are the trx450r or the cannondale moto.

The YFZ has the best power to weight ratio in it's class. Been a good quad for years, and they've finally fuel injected it for 09. I'd go for one... mainly because my senior mechanical engineering design group is building a race car using an older YFZ450 engine, and we are wishing we could get our hands on an 09 right now.
