violent shuddering in 1st gear

So this problem seems to be infinitely worse in the summer time, and completely unbearable if I have the AC or Defrost on, but when Im starting out in first gear the car tends to shake, somtimes very violently, does anyone know what this is a symptom of?

sounds like clutch chatter to me. what rpm does this happen at and does it go away with a bit more rpm's. the aic may need to be adjusted to compensate for the a/c. you know the a/c comp is on with the defroster right

its a manual, and it happens more at low rpm, but with the ac on it doesnt really matter, and with the AC or defrost on the car will die at idle. So could this possibly be something with vaccum?

i dont have AC anymore nor did i really ever use it in the past but i get very violent shakes in first gear too in the lower rpms

then, ill get over 1800 and everything will be absolutely normal
***also if i just let the car roll slowly on a flat surface even in first gear (or 2nd actually) it will start bogging pretty violently until i step on the clutch to disengage it)

The defroster turns on the A/C for some reason, so yuor trouble is wit hthe A/C engaging. With your engine dying at idle, I would suspect the IAC controller on the throttle body. It lets in extra air to compensate for the drag of the A/C. Unplug the IAC and see if you have the same problems. If nothing changes, your IAC might be bad.

Can't say if that's also related to the shuddering you're experiencing, I don't have any experience with manual trannys.

well Im not so much concerned about it dying at idle, I know thats a fuel/air problem, it was more of a sidenote. Im more concerned about the shuddering in 1st.

Could even be your harmonic balancer or lower pulley not tight.
