Got some new seats today

Got some new seats today (PICS ARE UP)

well after deciding my new seats are in such bad shape like how incredibly unsafe they are to drive in, you go from watching the road to watching the sunroof, i started to look for aftermarket seat options, after deciding that i didnt want to spend 600 plus on a single seat for a car thats not where near completed i decided to go with the knock off brands well after searching i found out even knockoffs are still300-500 a pair i started to get discouraged until i found this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/UNIV...m14QQhashZitem290267863120QQitemZ290267863120
after realzing there in the same city i was able to walk away with a set of seats for 35 bucks, now before you guys thrash me just remember they're temporary

No he's not.. remember he is a mad tyte y0 drifter! He is putting twin turbos on his stock 302.

Actually, it should be "a mad tyte drifter yo"
And why all the hate for drifting? While I personally don't like it and consider it the ballet of motorsports, I'm all for smacking up the ricers at whatever game they choose to play. Also, he states that the seats are temporary.
Gotta give him credit too. With what he has in his sig, he's got a pretty nice combo.

yeah i do plan on getting some sparcos or brides once the car is in more showable condition so for 35 bucks i dont see why i wouldnt , and you right they are a bit tight around the shoulders but im a big guy so most racing seats are anyhow unless i wanna drop the big bucks for a custom one, but yes dont hate too much, after these seats are gone i figure they will make fine garage furniture

If you are going twin turbos you will most likely want to upgrade your block or you will be doing it all over again... From what Ive heard, most stock blocks can hardly handle a good H/C/I + super/turbocharger at relatively low boost. Good find on the temporary seats though. Very cost effective.

Check out Millhouses' setup. He's tt on a stock block and still in one piece.

I had a set of seats kinda like those I got off ebay. I paid like $90 for them an $110 for the shipping, I was thinking they make all the money on the shipping. The looked o k. actually sat nice an firm. The main prob was the hinge would work its way apart all the time. I figured if I ever got hit hard from behind I'd be laying in the back seat. I sold them for $50 at a swap meet after using them for 2 years.

$35 for one seat...new????

Is it even $35 worth of materials? Wow...that company has some pretty tight margins...or they pay 0.01 cent/day labor rate

you know they actually seem to be pretty solid seats, alot better quality than the knockoffs i used to see, and im pretty sure that the seats are stolen, but i do have a cage going into the car so these will still do their job once the cage is in, then once the car is lookin spiffy then i'll opt for the brides.

ok little update, after modding my factory seat brackets the seats dropped right in no extra wowing of holes just bolted them and off for a drive, after drifting the first turn i was sooooooo much more planted in the seat that i was really able to oush some higher speeds without having to use my arm or shoulder to brace my bodybut now the factory lap belts are lacking very much so i have on order some 5 point harnesses that i plan on using for the time being but all in all they look pretty cool in the car (no interior) but we'll see once i redo the interior and put the cage in

I <3 my Corbeau's!

if you are a bigger guy you might want to skip on the brides. i have the brix in my import and they are snug on me. im a 30 waist and wear med. shirts. anything more than 20-30 min in them and im ready to get out. you may want to look into the corbeau cr1 seats. they come in a standard size and a wider version for bigger people. remember "JDM seats are made for JDM bodies"!
