Is this a simple swap and go swap? I can get a good deal on a used one and would like to upgrade from the 7.5 in my car now. What else is needed besides the rearend?
One thing to keep in mind, besides the fact that it's 5 lug, is that it's wider than your stock rearend on both sides, though I can't remember by how much (but I think it's a good bit).
Otherwise it will bolt right in. Not entirely sure about driveshaft flanges though.
like red says it's 1.5" longer so it's going to push your wheels out on each side. if you want to swapa rear end go with an 8.8 from an 87-93 car. also keep in mind what gears are in the new rear.
