This time I did something I've never done before...imagine that...
Thousands of pictures later of my car and I've never taken pics right after it was washed and still wet with all the water beaded up on her. I also took this opportunity to get to know my camera better. I experimented with ISO and exposure levels. I mainly adjust the shutter speed and not much else. It was a slightly overcast day and with all the trees overhead, I didn't have to worry about the sun baking water spots on my car for quite some time. Plus I kept the hose right there to freshen up the beads from time to time:nice:

Anyways, enough rambling and on to the goods:D

Out of curiousity what you made you throw the fanblades back on there?

The rear Nittos are down to the tread wear bars and the fronts being chewed up on the inside from no alignment after lowering. I need to get it done before I waste away the front BFGs and have to spend money on tires before I want to...

your pictures are reminding me i need a quality chamois. i have all these cheap ones, and they leave small swirl marks. before the next time i wash the car i'll have to get a good one.
Since my car was brand new, I've always used a micro fiber wash mitt and The Absorber chamois. I also try my best at blasting the water hose on the car to get as much "stuff" off the paint before I touch it. I use a smaller micro fiber covered sponge for the wheels and mufflers that NEVER touches the paint. I need to get new ones as these are 2 years old now.

I just moved up from the 20d to the newly released 50d.

You'll be a happy camper.

Technically, the 20/30/40/50d line is considered "pro-sumer"...falling between the intro level and pro level full frame cameras like the 5d and 1d-MKII
True. But I can't afford a 5D right now. I'm torn between the 40d and 50d. I'll just have to wait and see what my budget allows. Right now I can barely afford a CF card lol. But I've got a lot of business coming my way, so hopefully in the next 6 months. I just hate doing professional work with a Rebel. It just doesn't seem professional to be using a entry level camera.

I admit that the Rebel "looks" a bit more entry level to the average Joe...

The biggest reason I can't use it is that I have huge hands...and it feels like a toy in them.

As it is...even with the 50d, I have the vertical grip/battery pack so that things feel right while I'm holding it.

Great looking pics Kool! I wish I could keep my car that clean, yours always looks fantastic.

I do wonder though... do you have any issues with the hood pins rusting? I saw one at the dealership the other day that had what looked like a bit of rust around the ring end at the end of the lanyard... I'd love to get some of the shelbys like you have, but I'd be more than pissed if they started to rust.

I haven't had any rust starting on any part of the hood pins...yet and hope it stays that way.
