Hi, Friends.

I have just got a brand new Holley Carb for my MII (V6, 1974).
This is an original as everything else in my car.

I did came with a spacer. The one that is currently installed does not have such spacer installed.

Which one is the correct setup. Should I install this new spacer when installing my new carb.

Thanks!

Estevaf, I have an idea,

How long are the carb studs? That will give us an idea what all is suppose to be on top the intake.

Are there sleeves in the bolt holes of the gasket? Some gaskets are think because the base of the carb is imperfect, and the thicker gasket helps ensure a good seal so you dont have vacuum leaks. I used a thick gasket like that on my old Holley 4010. It was aluminum and those carbs were prone to warping and they wouldnt seal on the bottom. Also, theyre a good heat barrier between the engine and the carb, to help prevent vapor lock (fuel boiling inside the lines or carb).
