Just change my tires. I don't need legal advice.

Got a flat tire near my place last week. Ordered new one's from Tire Rack. Limped the Stang to the closest shop (only about 3 blocks away) to save a AAA tow in case I really needed it someday. So I ride by this morning on my motorcycle and notice that its done (no phone call from the shop). I stop in there to pay for it so I can ride home and walk back to pick it up. And the first guy I talked to said he couldn't help me, and that I had to talk to the shop manager. I though I was going to get a pitch to fix all the little piddly crap thats wrong. No. Oh no. His first statement was, "How did you get an inspection sticker?"

NOTE: No emissions equipment & foglight rewire (which creates the "illegal" situation where the fogs don't cut off when the hi-beams come on)

One of the service guys wrote "No legal for you sir" on the work order. And the guy goes ON and ON and ON about all the stuff thats illegal and then told me about the penalties and that if I bring it back to him ever again he would report it. Because everything there is done "by the book."

I just said, "I'm glad I don't need an inspection then." and signed my paperwork and left. :leaving:

Ive had experiences like that, after the shop broke part of the new Hellion Turbo kit. Friends car BTW. I usually tell them to keep it to themselves and they will NOT get my business or any of my friends and families business ever!

since when does fixing a flat tire have anything to do with the rest of the car? sounds like they were looking for things on your car.

they should of just fixed the tire and left the rest to themselves.

Oh, I'm never giving them any money ever again. after that experience and the $10 "low profile/large rim" surcharge on a 245/45/17.....yeah......never.

Ever try to mount a low profile tire before? Just cause its a stock mustang size doesn't mean it aint a bitch to mount. I see that extra charge everywhere and its a huge pain in the ass to mount a low profile tire without the accessory on the tire machine to aid the tire to stay in the drop center. I did a set of 255/40's and 275/40s many times and each time was a huge pain in the ass to not fudge the rim up, regardless, that shop sounds like a bunch of jerk offs anyway.
