small block motor mount bosses: the bolt hole's centerline from pass. side to driver side. I got about 14 1/8" but would like to verify if this is correct or not. I didn't have a tram gauge or big caliper, so I may be off. Anyone?

I have the motor out of my '66 right now. I can measure it tonight. What exact holes are talking about? The one on each side that goes straight back or the 4 that go up into the block?

Thanks. It should be the block's castings that are threaded and the forward holes on each side. Both side's castings should be spaced 7" apart to the back hole. I measured across the front holes, and now today in daylight, I see the driver side is forward more by about an inch. So my measurement is at a slight angle with the crankshaft journals. With the block upright laying on the bell end, and laying a straight edge across the main cap, I see it is equal on the driver side, and the pass. side isn't....that side sits lower than the straight edge by about an inch or so. But if they line up in the car's end, then the one mount must offset itself that amount, yes?
