It is rough, I know. I got the car for $1300 so it is to be expected. I am having it primered and putting the stock 10 hole rims back on the car next week. Also that cancer spot on the rear quarter will be taken care of. Then I am putting like new front seats in it from a 90 lx, then I am revamping the exhaust from the header back. I know it isn't much to look at but I am aiming to get it looking like the car in my avatar minus the black trim.

I have a couple vids to that I am uploading right now. Go easy on her guys, she has allready had a rough enough life. What she needs now is love and attention which I plan to show her.

I'd start by getting the right rear bumper, and before you primer it, pull off the luggage rack and weld up the holes...i'm pretty sure no SSP ever came with a luggage rack.

They all start somewhere man, don't sweat it. :nice:

I am getting another trunk and new front and rear bumpers. The car had been hit in the ass end so that is the reason for the lid thats on it. The guy took top notch care of the mechanics side just not the body and interior.

yeah, that's a vert trunk, and welding will warp the crap out of it. either find another notch lid or you can cheap out and JB weld the holes and sand it down.

Well compared to what cars I see on here man it's hard to look at mine and be happy. It will come along though. First order is getting some tunes in it. I have been riding around for 2 weeks with out a radio and that includes 2 400 mile round trips to Salt Lake City. I bought a new JVC CD/MP3 player for it today though.

looks like a great project! i love coupes! i'll have one parked beside my GT one day. yeah not having a radio sucks. i bought one off of walmart's "last one" table a few years back. i pulled my old, working one out and when i hooked up the "new" one, it was broke! it was the only one they had so after i returned it i had to drive around for a few weeks with no radio waiting for the one i ordered to come in the mail.

I was not really even going to get one but I walked in a aftermarket car/truck(mainly truck from what I seen) shop and it was $95, plays mp3's, bluetooth ready, and a ipod aux input on the front. I was like what the hell might as well. I actually didn;t mind no radio that much, I kinda liked listening to the car.

That will be a sweet ride. At least it's a complete car. When I bought Hack Job, it was a basket case, that's why I converted it over to 87-93 stuff and a 2001 drivetrain.

Every car has it's down days.

what state was it issued to? where did you find it? white SSP's rock! I have a 93 ex texas state patrol SSP. (avatar pic) sweet man. peace

john:p

It was a Utah State car, I have not gotten into what the car was used for but I plan on researching it a bit. The tag is on the radiator support. I plan to get the numbers off it to see exactly what the car was used for. I dont think it was a patrol car because it has around 93,000 original miles on it. I think it may have been a detectives car or something.
