wheel fitment & lowered car

yes and no. they will fit with potentially some finagling. you may have to flip your quad shocks and adjust your tail pipes and maybe roll your fenders. from what i can tell there is no one answer, its different for everybody.

It may also depend on who you buy your rims from. There are two specs that basically determine how the tire is placed in the wheel well - offset and backspacing. I have 17x10.5 wheels from AFS (AFS Wheels) installed; their specs are "+27mm offset with 6.63-inch backspacing" according to their website. The Stang is lowered about an inch in back and I had to beat in part of both inner fenders with a hammer to keep the tires from rubbing. My quad shocks were already gone, so I can't tell you if they would be a problem.

With a 1 3/4" drop, you will likely have to roll the fender lip to avoid cutting your tires when you go over bumps. The rims from AFS look really sweet though, they bring the tire flush with the fender. :nice:

I run Eibach Pro kit springs and 10.5 rims with 315's here. No flipping of the quad shock, had to rotate the tail pipe a little and the drivers side tire hit on the inside of the fender ( a hammer took care of that). Did not have to roll the fender lip and it has never hit the tire. I have AFS rims BTW.

in the last month or so i've seen a couple sets go up on the corral but before that it was ridiculous. i actually gave up on them and have since decided to save for 18" FR500s instead. thanks though.
