I used granatelli, didn't fit, and the jerks didn't want to refund money after seeing proof it was way off, bought PA Racing, and had it coated silver to match my car.... fit great. It's worth it to pay a little more for one that fits :)

Stedda has the QA1 for under $270 and its a quality piece. It comes with spring perches if you wana avoid doing a coilover. Then you can get the AJE control arms with perches too. They are $340 from LMR and without the perches are $300. So for around $600 you can have a nice set up. QA1 is a reputable company and if thats what Steeda uses then you know its a stout piece :nice:

Is the car a daily driver?

I wouldn't run an aftermarket k-member on a daily driven car. They aren't exactly tested for 100K miles of potholes and bumps and bangs. Only one i would trust on my car is a MM k-member.

UPR just seems too flimsy to me as well.

The car only gets driven about 20 miles a day...in the summer of course....if its raining i dont drive it. and i avoid pot holes and stuff like that. so i think im going to go with UPRs kit. i just need a kmember so i can have room for a oil pan and long tube headers. and to save more weight so i can beat up on all the s**t rice cars. thanks for all the advice guys.

Then the upr is the one you want. I have had the headers off twice and changed the motor mounts since. Both jobs were easy with this kit. Plus it's the ligheast and cheapeast among the decent set ups.

Proof of that last statement?

I had a UPR tubular K-member in my car for close to 80k miles with zero problems. I hit pot holes, even bent one of my weld prostars, bottomed out on another pot hole so bad the pavement scraped the powder coating off. Obviously I didn't look for them to hit it was just one of those things as I drove the car 75 miles a day and to and from races all over the east coast.

So you trash a companies product without anything to back it up...fact, opinion or otherwise? You do realize that chromoly has a higher tensile strength than mild steel right?

If you owned a Granatelli K-member, would you have called out the three members here that called it garbage without stating any facts? What about the person who trashed the Steeda K-member? Or are you singling me out for saying the UPR peice "looks flimsy" because you own one and wish to justify your purchase? You made your choice and that's fine, don't get upset because of my opinion on the part.
