Well Ive got a 2006 Roush with a 5speed and a three valve. I want to get the most HP and TQ out of it but not spending a **** ton. I was thinking a 100 shot (WET), Gears (3.73), and Cams but Im not sure Please help Im wanting to do this at tax time..........

+ most guys do 4.10s instead of the 3.73s. I'm assuming that the Rouches come with the 3.55s in which the jump to the .73 would be little @ most. Now forced induction is another story...............

Yeah No S@%# IDK if having 18's make a difference but yeah he if shifting into 5th right at the end....

Your buddy has either trippled the power output of his car, or you're mistaken on the gear change. Shifting into 5th gear with 4.10's as he crosses the traps (at say 5,800RPM) would have him up into the 160mph range at the line.

...not gonna happen.

4th would put him around 103-105mph at that RPM.....much more believable. ;)

Yeah all he has is 4.10 gears, k&n cold air, short throw, Lowered 2 inches, aftermarket H-pype with flow masters. I Dont think that would make a difference.... but he is shifting into 5th and the end inless r 1/4 on the street that we have maked out is off but IDK how many times we have measured it

If you have 3-5k to spend, you can get a centrifugal supercharger in that range from high 3's for a non intercooled to high 4's for an intercooled one. I don't know if you plan on installing it yourself, which could save you quite a bit. They don't affect mileage that much during regular highway driving. Vortech, Paxton, and Procharger are the most common. If you want a roots blower, the Magnacharger falls in your range, I got my Roushcharger for just over 5k. Gears are still a good option to include. Not sure if any of the turbo systems are under 5, probably are some.

Oooo.....if you're willing to go a hair over $5K, i'd go with one of the Positive Displacement blowers (Roush, Magnacharger, Kenne Bell, Whipple) and leave the rest as it is. The Centrifugals are nice and area little less expensive, but you're going to have to swap gears to really realize the benefit, which is going to bring you back up to Positive Displacement price ranges anyway.

I’m a big believer in a PD blower for a heavier car.....just check out my ride. :D
