Wanli S-1088 Tires

These any good. Some people say they are great, and others say there crap. I got a good deal from a wholesale guy on them, so i decided to try them out. let me know if anyone has heard anything of these tires. I believe this company is owned by Nangkang. These are copies of the Toyo Proxies TR1

Wanli

Hi,

FYI, I have run the Wanli for a little while. I personally only have good to say about them.

I had Toyo, Nitto and Sumitomo before. The Toyo were the best, but overall the Wanli is a great bang for the buck.

Saying they are crap if you have not had them on your car is kinda one sided. I have seen people blow out BFG's. I have driven on them an 0 problems.

When I go shopping for groceries, clothes, eletronics, etc the first thing I look at is price. However - for cars (and my RC planes) I think first about quality. We, as a culture, are so used to driving and using automobiles/machines that we fail to realize the inherent danger of an accident due to product failure. Think about a tire blowing out at 70mph and whether or not it is worth the money you saved to put yourself and others at risk. Same thing for those that are riding on low tread/bald tires. Not worth it people.

Bingo. We spend all this money on quality aftermarket parts like springs and control arms and bushings and brakes and fail to realize one important fact....

The only part of the car touching the road and transmitting your inputs is the tires.

What good are these fancy control arms and high quality brakes if you put cheapo tires on your car.

I've gone though many different brand tires. I have yet to try the same brand twice just because i want to see what else is out there. What i've found is that you get what you pay for. Some of the best tires i've even run have also been the most expensive, and some of the worst tires i've run have been cheapo tires or tires someone "gave me a deal on".
