Some more pics, damn them eibach drag springs sure make for an ugly stance. Im probably going to ditch those for some steeda sport springs. No interior shots cause I took out the center console to check out the shift stops on the shifter, bottom shifstop appeared to be set too far in, not allowing the shifter to go all the way in, IONO I set it, second gear felt better. Also washed the center console with some soap and water, IM getting tempted to order some black carpet, might as well I got the damn console out already. I will check the clutch cable, qauadrant setup tomorrow when I jack the car up and change the oil.

Glad when people dont procrastinate and dive right in to their new ride :nice:

You dont have to remove the console to adjust or install that thing. Just unscrew the shift handle and remove the boot/trim and there it is :nice:
And carpet is cheap from LMR. I ordered the black for my 92 and it fit like a glove and was only $84 :nice: Great quality and looked nice.

u sure bout that? well I guess I could have used a ratchet wrench for the top two bolts on the dust cover, but oH well. So besides taking out the seats, seatbelt buckles, what else do I need to install the new carpet? What else should I buy?

Looks nice. If you do end up getting a clutch cable, do yourself a favor and get a stock replacement! Aftermarket cables will only give you problems, I know this first hand. You can still run a firewall adjuster and quandrant with a stock cable. When I put my stock cable back in (after my aftermarket cable snapped), my King Cobra clutch felt waaayyyyy lighter. Good luck getting it sorted out.

+1 On the stock cable. Dont get parts store ones, they will break. Dont get adjustable ones, they will stretch. The MM universal one is great as well.

As for the carpet besides what you mentioned you have to remove the console, kick pannels, scuff plates (plastic door piece when you open the door, between the seat and door) and thats about it. As to other things to replace I couldnt say without seeing it

Oh and im sure about the console not comming out to work on the gear selector. I have installed 8 or 9 of them and adjusted just as many without ever removing the console :nice:

What the hell kinda CAI did u have??

Or were you off roading through water with your car? The filter element is so high up in the fender you should not have any issues..

Does your car have wheel wells??? Maybe its saturating the filter that way or something?

+1, I don't know how that is possible, because most CAI kits (BBK, MAC, Summit, etc) pretty much all draw air from the same location the stock air box does. Now, those kits like the March ram-air kit or anything that puts the air intake or filter down by the bumper, I can see where those would be a problem.

If he has the lower shift boot on there is no way he is going to be able to adjust the stops. The metal ring on the lower shift boot is too big to remove it through the with the console installed. I know I have tried many times. If you trim the center console plastic where the upper shift boot attaches then you can remove it no problem. Seems like ford only wanted to make it easy to install a shifter on the sn95 models.

fack dude! that is a bad bish in ur sig! i just got done looking at ur photobucket, and I have a list of everything that I want off ur car! hahah.

nice, to be honest, all I want is the cobra rear and the pipes under it. Im uncertain what i want to do bout the wheels, I want some black ones, but Im thinking im just going to paint the ponies.

It looks like I will be spending alot more time in the 5.0 Section from now on, I just sold my 2000GT and replaced it with the following:

Its a 1990 Mustang GT, 5sp with some small bolts ons. Im really loving the car so far! The thing I love the most about it is the paint job! Previous owners said it was painted about less than 1 yr ago, door jams and all. Car has all original body panels, VinTags were masked off really well when is was resprayed, Ive checked the vintags on the body and they match! WOot! The car has 161k Miles, black/grey interior is just about mint, it drives and rides well for what it is. So far everything is good, the only thing wrong with it so far that I can tell is 2nd gear on the T5 likes to come out unless I hold the shifter firmly back, but Im thinking the shift stop on the hurst is not set up properly, King cobra clutch is stiff as Fack! Im going to get it replaced with a Fidanza 1.0 kit from AmericanMuslce, as soon as I find out whats really going on with the 2ng gear, might pick up a trans if needed. Dyno sheet from Stritcly shows the car at 286whp/314TQ
if it is slipping out of 2nd it could be syncros. also, did he replace the clutch cable with a ford one. I had an aftermarket one and it made my king cobra seem like it was a 500 hp clutch. swapped the cable to a ford one and it works great.
