I've got Mac 94-95 longtube headers, high flow catted H-pipe, and Flowmaster American Thunder cat back. I wanna get an offroad x-pipe, but I'm not sure which one. Are there any that will fit better than others?

BBK is on the top of the list because of price, and they're stuff seems to be pretty good quality, but I wonder about it not being a true X.

I've also looked at Pypes, UPR, and Dr. Gas. I like the Dr. Gas, but I can't weld it cuz I'm 4 hours from home and can't afford to have it welded (broke a*@ college student lol). I know the UPR doesn't have hangers and that could pose a problem, but I don't know much about the Pypes version.

Any suggestions???

I am saving for a Dr Gas right now... Not sure if I can weld it, have my buddy weld, or farm it out.. .but I keep hearing that the Dr. Gas is the only way to go and I have looked for a used one for about a year and not found one... that tells me something too...

heres what ya do.....jegs sells the x section from the magnaflow x pipe buy that, then take it to your local muffler shop and have them bend your H to fit it and it souldnt cost much at all.

I'll call around and see what they would charge for somthing like that. But I still need my catted H for emissions. I asked around yesterday and every shop was around $140~$180. I'd rather just get a BBK peice if it's gonna be within 20 bucks. We'll see.

thats a damn shame if you were in vegas we could knock that out for under 100.your muffler shops are ripping you people off.that isnt that difficult so how do they justify the prices........i understand you have overhead and bills but damn. treat your people (customers)good and it comes back to you.:nonono:

I think I'm just gonna go with the BBK. That way I don't have to deal with the shops:notnice: and I can get it on in the parking lot. (college appt with no garage) When I get it done, I'll try to post a vid of my car...:D

Ok, just got the high flow catted H-pipe off the car and the BBK X-pipe was 3 INCHES OFF!!! I read one article about this on another mustang site, but it was the only one I could find, so I figured his headers were different somehow. But low and behold BBK doesn't match up to MAC. So I'm taking it back to summit this coming weekend.

I think instead of another mid pipe since I have high flow cats, I'm gonna order a set of Magnapack mufflers and get them welded in to get rid of the all too common Flows. Then, if it's not loud enough, I'll order a Mac offroad H cuz the Magnapacks are kinda raspy, I don't wanna go X with them and sound like those awful 4.6s:rlaugh:

send it back and get the dr gas piece. you wont regret it and it will be custom fit to your car. you cant use mac headers with a bbk mid pipe. you have to use mac with mac. the reason the dr gas fits both is cause it is custom fit to your car

Idk, we'll see. I'm gonna get the Magnapacks sometime next week and go from there. I'll try to post a vid of the before and after of the Flows and Magnapacks and see if y'all think I should stay with my high flow H or get an offroad H/X. :D
