Hello All,
Well I went to pick up the 68' that I just bought tonight and unfortunatly it is still sitting at the same place. The guy had just got back from taking it to the gas station and putting some gas in. He said it started yesterday too. When I jumped in to start it up I got nothing. It would sound like the starter was "grinding" but it was still turning the fan so I know it was at least turning over. It never gave off a good attempt to fire up. Toward the end of trying it was doing the "click" that sounds like a bad solinoid (sp). It has been so long since I worked on a classic that I am at a loss. I cleaned the terminals on the battery and made sure they had good connections. We tried to jump it but it wouldnt fire up and it definitly sounding like a grinding down by the starter. So please help me out with any ideas you may have on getting my new project back to my garage. Thanks in advance.

Kris
