Ive been looking into getting the hitech stages II's for my 99 GT but i dont know if it would work with my current set up, i have stock gears and stock headers, everthing else is in my sig, would this be a poor application for cams at all?, i just want to be close to 280-300 rwhp, my car dynoed at 250rwhp and 288 rwtrq at about 100 degrees temp, iwant to keep my stock gears cause its my DD

any insight and opinions would be much appreciated!

i dont really plan on blowin this car just keep it a DD and get 03/04 cobra

From what i've heared/seen most guys can get 300rwhp with those cams. I think you have a great application for those cams. LT's would be even better. Are you worried about mpg's with gears? My 3.73's are great. I routinely get either right at or a little over 200 miles per tank with mostly city driving.

its kinda a mixture of i dont wana pay 500 bucks in labor to install and i dont want the higher rpm while driving freeway which i do oftern im not 100percent against them or anything, just have to get the mindset to spend that much on em, i lean more toward cams and LTs tho

PM this guy 98COBRA281 he just put on some hitech II's on his p&p npi build and got 310rwhp with LT's

i dont have hitech's, i have powerhead regrinds 540/540lift, 225/230 duration @ .50, 112lsa/

i really wish i would have went with them now, i made 310rwhp with a tad over 10:1 comp, pretty mild cams, and stock size npi valves.

just imagine if i went with 11.5:1 comp, bigger cams, and +1mm over sized valves, talk about 330-340rwhp:nice:

And a nice big FAT ole' shot of happy gas:D

like i said above its not really just that, its like a combo off the $500 dollars in just labor and then on top of that ill lose mpg's and have high rpm on freeway, all that for near $1000 bucks aftert parts and labor, not really worth it to me but idk
