HE HE HE!!! no doubt that GT40 is bling a ding!!!!! gorgeous!!!:D im tryin something different being that everything on my engine and engine bay is chrome or billet i had my valve covers and intake powdercoated which i showed in pics above but the great part is those pics are really like looking in black and white unrevealing only in person u get the true effect, so im very happy with outcome!!!! i never seen a better page of intakes!

Pretty much every intake has a combo that it will work good on. You can't really argue that one is better than another for every combo in the world, just like a camshaft or heads.

As far as looks I'm not a fan of the exlpoder intake at all. The Cobra doesn't do much for me either. The tubular GT40 is pretty bad ass, but obviously mine is the best. :D

Hey guys...jumping back into the mustang game after a long break.
I had an orginal Cobra intake on my 93 vert i sold...very nice intake.

I see you all talking asbout the Cobra's being made in China now. Is this ALL Cobra intakes now, or just some? Can you still find original Cobras or are the only ones available used now?
Thanks for the info guys.
Ken

Had an original Cobra intake (off of a '93) on my 5.0, I didn't think it was bad. My brother had a tubular GT40 on his, and I thought the Cobra looked better. I've seen a chart that showed the Cobra outflowing the GT40 by a few cfm. Forget where, though. I deleted it when I got rid of my car.

If I was to do it again, I'd get a BXR with Arao heads on a 331...

Sure there's intakes that make more HP but i love my cobra intake to the point i don't mind giving up a little HP on my new build that RNH Performance has begun actually i love the torque it makes!! here's a couple pics from my crappy camera of my newly powdercoated intake and valve covers that do em no justice as rick will testify he has them now :nice:

Hey are those all new chrome/aluminum pieces or did you have them coated or what? I'm trying to decide what I'm going to do as far as the accessories since I'm going to powder coat the intake and VC's

No but your most likely not gonna get a reply from that person .

that's why I PM'ed him too :). Also said to reply in conversation or here. Not sure rather a notification should still go out if their settings for instant alerts are still on though so thanks for the insight but I am aware of situations such as this.

Ok. I painted my other setup on other car with that good paint from autozone. Forgot exactly which brand. I painted the power steering pump, thermostat housing, and alt bracket and the power steering pump pulley and bracket and it actually made a huge difference in the looks of the engine bay. Also the timing cover. Painted most stuff an aluminum color and some items black
