So i've been saving some money and am looking to buy a classic. I have been wanting a classic v8 muscle car for quite some time and I think i stumbled into something worth looking into.

Now Ill be the first to admit I don't know much about classics, I have worked on plenty of fuel injected mustangs from the 87-04 era but this is new to me.

First of all what do you guys think about this fairlane? It looks very clean and I would say it has potential, I don't expect it to be fast or anything but would like something I can modify for performance.

4,000 seems like a ver reasonable price for this car. What do you guys think? Anyone know anything about the fairlanes? Is the 289 a good motor? How much hp are they capable of with a stock block keeping it N/A? Is the drivetrain essentially the same as the 67 mustang?

I gotta say i love the way it looks....again any advice/recommendations are welcome!

Seems kind of high for a 4 door but that is me, the two doors are great looking cars, but if you like it you like it! Off cars like that are only worth what the one person willing to buy it is willing to pay for it. I know about odd ball cars, I have had a ton of them, most everything from the driveline is the same or close to a Mustang.

Those are cool cars. They are heavier than most stangs. Most of them seem to have FE engines because of there size. All old cars look for rust and collision damage, missing trim. Engine and trans can be easily repaired or replaced.
