I have officially started on my '94 Cobra project... DUW

Nice car Paul, a little while after I bought mine i started to get a stuttering with no power increase starting at WOT at 4k. It ended up being the dizzy. that doesn't exactly sound like your problem though.

Keep up the mods, kinda wish I would have bought a cobra that color instead of white.

I'd say keep it quiet as possible. I've been driving Roger's Mustang for a few weeks now. I drive it 70 miles per day back and forth from/to work. It has an SLP axle back exhaust. If I keep it I may put the stock system back on. I too am tired of loud. Actually I miss my truck, tired of changing gears.

I have PDR tools. Got a few dings out of my wife's car. I took the course. Car looks great. Keep it has a daily driver sounding car.

:jaw: Joe the Penquin smacker back in the Stang game?????????? Holy......:hail2:

Ok, let me get this straight. He is ok with you putting 350 miles per week on his car why?

He hasn't driven the Mustang in months. He has a few other vehicles and now has my truck. It needed to be driven anyway. He can put 350 miles on my truck a week. Still deciding if I want to trade.

Sorry for stealing your thread Paul. As a daily driver Mustang guy myself I'd say the things you need are:

1. A comfortable interior
2. Great sounding Stereo/DVD Player
3. GPS Navi Unit
4. Valentine Radar Detector

Had the same problem on my 94 Cobra and a couple friends of mine 94-95s. ALL OF OURS turned out to be the fuel pumps. We all replaced them with 190s and eventually 255s when we supercharged them. Mine would go to 4000-4200 and fall on its face. Hope that helps.

I did the same on my cobra replaced it with the 255 and it pulled harder and longer
The high flow cats helped alot too

Thanks guys! I'm VERY happy I bought the car, more on that below.

Adam- the turbo is on hold and to be honest I've been contemplating selling it and getting a blower. The install will be much easier and cleaner and the turbo, dare I say it, will make too much power. It'll be while regardless though before it makes it way onto the car as this Cobra will be the recipient of funds for a while.

Drakesdad- My wife doesn't like mustangs at all. She doesn't mind mine so much, but they offer little to no appeal to her. She has never driven my 'vert, but she will be driving the cobra, so maybe that will change... I doubt it though. As for the garage, that is my basement. It was a 2 car garage and then I knocked down the stud wall and made it into a 4 car tandem garage. Its a tight fit and I usually pull one car out when I'm in there working in order to give me additional room. My SVT focus sits outside since it has an engine block heater.

Vib and Caldwell- Its nice to see you guys here again! Joe- I agree completely with your requirements for a DD. This car is going to be more of a driver than my 'vert is, but it won't be DD. I put the offroad pipe on it and its a bit too loud for me, I think the cat pipe is going back on.

Troy (redsnk)- I'll email you later. Thanks for the heads up!

Troy (yeahloh95)- LOL! You now know how it sounds and runs.

UPDATE: I finally took the car out yesterday. I had installed the following:
-Morpheous power pipe
-65mm TB
-FMS shorty unequal length headers
-Bassani offroad X pipe (it still has the stock cat back on the car)

All I can say is DAMN, what a difference. The car would not pull above 4000rpms before and it wouldn't even spin the tires when I dropped the clutch at 3000rpms. I took it out yesterday and it howls the tires in 1st and I got it to spin in 2nd just by laying into it! I can not believe how well this car runs. I took Troy out for a ride in it last night and I'll let him tell you about it. i think he was as impressed as I was. I seriously can not believe how strong this car feels, especially with 154K miles and the stock gear set out back. I took a wlak around video of it yesterday, I'll try to get it up today.

Paul,

On topic with the wife....same here...she owned a Camaro and is and has been a GM fan.....she wants me to buy Tristan ( my youngest) a Camaro for our project since the Stang is Drake's car.....she enjoys when we go for family drives but I really don't think it has anything to do with the car.....:(
Tristan actually LOVES the Stang and the truck.....

I have also wondered since you posted the power problem....now that you have fixed it do you think the reason for the good price was that the original owner or the car lot thought more was wrong with it and didn't look into it the way you did?
Just a thought.....but glad to see you got her ready, we knew you would. :nice:

well i got to ride in and drove the cobra last night and all i can say is WoW what a difference, it pulls so hard now and it sounds awsome, i would leave the x-pipe on myself, but we'll have to see how the h-pipe sounds i guess.
