Thoes seats do look nice, thats why I bought them. They have some issues though. They will break and possably hurt you in a serius accident because of their his frame and cheaper bolts. Also at your shoulder blade level the seat has a hard plastic piece with no cushion on it and thin cusining below it. For some its okay but if you are 5'9"-6'2" that plastic piece will cut into your shoulder blades. And if you sit in that seat then sit in a $400 Recaro you will see why they cost more. Its like the difference between a Lazy Boy or a Chinese knock off. It the difference between a $1400 Sharper Image massage chair and the $99 one on eBay.
They just feel better. How could you think its dumb to buy nice seats. I mean thats what connects you to the car, thats where all your pressure is. Its what makes the car comfertable and fit like a glove instead merley being"tolerable" or uncomfertable. When people look in a car its the most prominent thing they will see. The difference between "Yeah, thats cool" and "Oh wow! Thoes look really nice! Can I sit in it?"

The seats you had ordered are on backorder for another 4-6 weeks and therefore we sent you real leather seats which are worth about $150 more than what you paid however we did not charge you anything extra. These are real leather seats and not leathereatte. We can send you the missing parts. Thanks

Sounds really fishy to me. Any company that has the customer satisfaction in mind would contact you first to explain and offer the upgrade, not simply assume you'd want it. Fight for what you paid for.

I did I told them to stick the wrong seats up their a$$, and either give me my seats I ordered or full refund, he said the seats are on back order but still doesnt explain why they sent me REAL LEATHER as they claim seats in replacement so something is fishy, I was complaining at first cause they havnt shipped my order out and it was already 2 weeks so I guess they got nervous and shipped the other one in replacement thinking oh its real leather he'll go for it, I looked on their sight and found the seats they sent me and they are $150 more but still to be honost after looking at it I rather have the one I originally ordered it looks more clean with the handle and I really dont care if its leatherette or real leather

I also know what you mean by having expensive seats Im just saying for some people $800 dollar seats arnt a option when your trying to spread your money out on more than just one part, if your rich i guess thats cool but I'd say for america right now most are lucky to even have a job till this recession goes away

Just made $500 this morning, sold my old stock H pipe and stock aluminum wheels that been in storage for 6 years, I also sold my cracked rear bumper so Now I can at least start getting my parts installed, im gonna start with gauges first than spoiler next month, and when the stupid seats come in i'll deal with them

If your referring to my comment, i didnt say it was dumb i just think its cheesy to have expensive sparco racing seats with a racing harness in a nearly stock 200hp non-pi mustang...Furthermore I clearly remember you making a similar comment to srthandz about the exact same thing in a thread from about a year ago...Its just as ricy to have expensive racing seats/hearnesses in a stock honda civic as it is in a stock mustang, and don't tell me you havent made fun of a rice-burner or two that had seats like that...

Now in your car, I could see the point of having nice racing seats for lateral support and a harness to hold you in. Im just bashing the idea of having them in a stock car. Just my .02 cents though....

and BTW i have bullitt seats in mine and absolutely love them. They offer more than enough support and i only spent 500$ on them...

No, that comment was not directed twords you. The OP said it was stupid but clarified it a little. Now I dont think seats like he is getting or the Sparco/Recaro/Carbeau (sp?) versions are rice eaither. The seats I think are rice are the full blown non-adjustable seats. The buckets that you have to climb over and have the side bolsters that lock you in place. That is rediculous to have in a freakin street car. That is a track only thing and IMHO is just very rice thing to have on your car. Its like the Civcs with canards on them and a giant adjustable lip spoiler and a rear air difuser to keep their 180hp planted to the road
