rust problem

i just bought an 87 gt in great shape except that the inner fender has rusted through on both sides of the car at the bottom of the strut tower could someone point me in the right direction as to the best fix of this problem

I would advise a trip to your local body shop, they can tell you exactly what it will take it fix. If it is something minor that you can fix yourself thats great but if you have to pay someone to do it check around to several shops first.

i always try to stay away from rusters, i had a little rust on the lip along the rear wheel and i took care of it quick while it was still surface rust, i don't understand why people let the car keep rusting rather than spending some time on the weekend fixing it up. only cost about 20 dollars to fix between some rust converter, primer, paint and clear coat. looked good from even 5 feet away.
