Great, timely thread- I was about at the point of having to choose, I was thinking Pro 5.0, and I knew about the taller handle thing, but I didn't consider MGW. The B&M mine came with is older, and works like the Hurst I had on the other cars-not sloppy, or notchy, but new parts is good!

I have a Tri Ax, its fine once you break it in and get it "soft" it. My buddy has a MGW and I liked it better and I didnt actually drive the car.

The Tri Ax is good for now, but one day I'll switch to a MGW.

Its been said over and over now but I say MGW. I had one in my 98 cobra and have one in my 89 GT now and loved them both.

well thanks for all the input guys.... clearly the MGW is the most popular choice. I'm going to try a tri-ax handle on my pro 5.0 and see if I like it. If I'm still unhappy then I'll definitely give the mgw a shot. Thanks for all the help
