It is typically a fuel or a spark problem. First, I think you should try to ascertain which it is. Pull a plug, ground it to the engine, turn it over and see if you are getting spark. Then, listen to hear if the fuel pump "starts" when you turn the key to the "on" position.

I take it there is gas in the tank. 7-8 months is a long time to leave it.

Start with the basics - fuel and spark - and see where that leads you.

Good luck......

Glad to see you fixed it. Were you able to test the original fuel pump to see if it was functioning before you replaced it? Just wondering if you tried that idea of turning the key on and letting it pump fuel to the fuel filter hoses and draining it off to a pan or whatever...

Yes, I tried it and nothing. I then ran pos/neg wires off battery and hooked up to wires at wiring harness, nothing. I was confident at that time it was pump. On draining the tank, took vent hose of side of tank and siphoned out gas. No spillage at all. Totall time changing pump from start to finish, 1 1/2 hours.
