What's the best shifter???

As you can see the top recommended are Tri-ax and MGW. For myself I will soon be buying one as well and I'm going MGW.

Here's another question. How many people are using a T-handle? I saw a picture of one in a new edge recently and I've become intrigued about using a t-handle. Any pros or cons to it? I've never used one before and didn't know how comfortable it is or is not.

I have always had Pro 5.0 shifters, but lately the craze is the MGW's. I have been debating switching over to an MGW but can not justify spending $$ on a new shifter when I alread have one haha

Check out MGW.com i think is thier websight, you wil not regret it!

I did exactly what you are contenplating! Stick with your Pro 5.0 if it works good and your happy. I switched it out for a MGW and I really do not notice a difference. The MGW is good and the Pro 5.0 was good.

Both nice shifters for a 3650 tranny. But as someone has stated MGW seems to be the flavour of the month! :)

Tri-ax with shifter gaskets. Silent shifter and easy to mix.

What I don't like about the MGW is that I can put a good shifter handle. A short handle that rotates does nothing for me. The shorter the handle the less leverage you have. So I had to get the UPR rockcrusher shifter handle.

Since I have to sit with the seat all the way back, this is perfect for me. I suppose if you are shorter then 6', then its not too much of a reach.

I have a hurst that is at least 10 yo, cuz I took it out of my old '86 gt. I like it quite a bit. The only other shifter I've used besides that one was some kind of B&M that was in my buddies fox body with a "T" handle. I dont know if it was the shifter, or the way you have to grab the "T" handle, but it felt like absolute garbage in my hand. Couldn't hit a 3rd gear shift to save my life. (Maybe the fact we had been out for a couple drinks played a role in that though:rolleyes:)
