Hey guyz,
New to this forum. Picking up a new project this weekend. A 1979 indy pace car. I will be removing the 302/ C4 and installing a hot 351 / T5 or toploader. Slap on a SN95 4wheel disc upgrade, and a 4 point cage...
I've always wanted to do some SCCA events, fun ford weekends, MCA open track events, car shows.... and I'd like to run the paradise drag strip in calhoun.

Great site,

Later dudes,
Mach :Track:

Hello Mach,
I am located in Chattanooga. Have you thought about going to Brainerd Dragstrip. Here is a list that I keep updated on our Club's Website of Shows in the area. We also go to the local cruise-in's and have Fun. Here is a link to our show listings : Thunder Valley Mustang Club :: View topic - Shows for 2009

On March 22nd there will be some of us going to meet up with the NWGMC at Paradise for some Drag Racing.

Jeff

Hey Jeff, I was a member at Thunder valley for a while. I left the club, after the club decided to keep 1/2 the money from kids charity. From what i understand, many of the respected members have since left as well. I've heard even David L. is no longer part of the club. I've even heard some members had received threats about making waves.
When i signed on to thunder valley, i was all excited. I've been a mustang guy for years, and have attended most all the major events. Unfortunately, there was too much politics involved with Thunder valley. I will be at the 45th show, I'm bringing my 79 pace car. I've meet up with some guys from middle georgia that have a mustang club. They are looking at starting a North Ga chapter. Me and a few of my buddies are interested in joining up with them. I just purchased a 2nd 79 pace car. This one, will be set up for street / track. Both SCCA and drags, as well as fun ford weekends & open track events. I drove my 79 in the open track event, at the 40th show in Nashville. So, eventually... you will probably see me out at brainerd or paradise, but my new pony will need alot of work, before its track ready
