I have a 98 Mustang GT, automatic, and just installed a BBK CAI. I am running the "canned" performance tune from a Diablosport u7146 tuner. Just took the car out after the CAI, and it feels like it's running "flat", and a couple of times when shifting into reverse or drive it felt like it was going to die (never did though). I'm wondering if I need to modify any of the tune parameters and if anyone might have any suggestions?

Thanks

i have the predetor tuner and the bbk CAI and i didnt have this psroblem ever... Try loading the original tune into the car and see if it does the same thing, also try it once with the original airbox that way you can figure out if its the tune or if the CAI is the cause:shrug:

Evil,
Sorry I'm a neophite, when you say check the MAF, what do you mean? What would I check? When removing the MAF from the stock intake I did notice an attached gasket molded to seal against the filter housing, should I have removed that? It didn't feel like it would easily come off.

Just for clarification the "canned" performance tune does seem somewhat better than the stock tune, but with the minor mod's I have now there isn't much I can mess with.

Thanks

just make sure you hooked the connections back up cleanly when you installed the cai, the mafs can cause the car to do some funny things, make sure you didnt put the mafs back on backwards, i have heard of that before
