Hey guys, I ordered an Anderson Powerpipe today, the one that puts the MAf in the fender. I talked to the guy and he said that they dont recommend using anything other than the pro-m shorty because some MAF's like the c&l go crazy when you put them in the fender. I just want to make sure that I can use my 94/95 in the fender and not have any problems, he didn't know if I could or not. Is it going to matter which way the sensor is facing? Towards the fender or towards the wheel? Thanks

Nick

The 94/95's have the 4 bolt mounting plate yes? Not sure how you're puttig that in the fenderwel, but when i first read your question about which way it should face, i thought you meant which way for the sensor to face to take in air... ha.

I had a pro-m in the driver's fender of my 95, no problems - but that's not what you're talking about here (as stated pro-m's np in the fender).

a stock 94/95 meter - you're only moving it about 8-10 inches, i wouldn't think there'd be any issues. For that I wouldn't even think that you'd have to splice any wires...

hopefully someone can chime in who's done something closer to what you're proposing.

hm well I'll let you guys know how it works out in the next couple days when it goes in. Cenok has one in his fender and reports no problems so we'll see. Any more input would be good. Thanks!

oh and I was talking about which way the sensor can face to take the air in but I looked at the sensor and relize that's a dumb question haha

Its not that I dont trust him. Its that "cenok is family" has a custom power pipe that is exactly like the Anderson pipe, and is using the 95 GT MAF and hasent had a problem. I am going to try it out when I get my pipe in but I wondering if anyone has input on these different answers. I have an answer from someone who is using it saying it works, and one from the Anderson Tech guy saying it wont work.

i don't want to say it will most definitely work fine on your car. like i said with mine, it seems to be working fine, but i haven't verified where my a/f is at. it idles well and pulls like a raped ape though, so that's a good sign. i can smell gas so it might be running rich. nothing i can't fix though. the past two times i had it on a dyno, my a/f was at 10.x:1, but both times i had 24 lb injectors and a 75mm proflow (old pro-m) mass air meter. also on the first session i had a bbk cold air kit, the second time i had the factory intake tube and airbox with a drop in k&n. i'm pretty sure that maf sensor was bad though, i bought it used off ebay. my current sn95 maf i bought re-manufactured from autozone. i pulled it out of the box and it was an original ford housing with ford electronics on it too!
