345ci Nitrous'd Notchback Progress Thread

i have the trick flow plate kit on my car right now. im carb'd and my kit is good for a 300 shot. was $470 i think shipped from summit. im also building an R block but the size stroker im not sure yet. was gonna do 347, now im planning it more with the machinist who has built a ton of solid rollers like ill have. planning on 7500rpm shift point, 630-ish lift, and ported RHS215s from the same machinist and 250-300 shot on a nitrous controller. aiming for the same compression. once i start gettin more parts ill post a progress thread. good luck with the car and keep us updated on the spray idea.

If i ever get real serious with nitrous on this car(more than a 200 shot) im gonna look into this new launcher software that NOS has. Its like the Big Stuff 3 of nitrous controllers from what ive read on it so far.

Starting your Street/Strip car and scaring the sh it out of your mom...
Priceless :rlaugh:

If you watch close, when i rev the car the camera moves a little bit, which is funny, cause the camera was sitting on the hood of my subaru with no one holding it... badass haha

LOL best is your mom's reaction

so put the dynomax mufflers on and took the car out last night, the car sounds pretty good, its a little quiet for my taste, but it should get louder once the mufflers break in.

Towards the middle of my drive the band clamp on the drivers side decieded to loosen up and the muffler fell off :flag: which was pretty sweet, the funny thing is that i hung the mufflers with a coat hanger till i could get hangers welded up, and the coat hanger kept the muffler from completly falling out, but my $15 clap failed :rlaugh:

Looks great man! Those subframe connectors look very similiar. Do you have anymore pics of the cage and subframe connectors?? Torque box's look at better now, might have welded up the top a little more. Thats where you have a lot of pull on the floor. Glad to see you tied the roll bar into the upper mount area. Keep up the good work and more pics please!

My chassis guy did a nice job fixing the torque boxes, he told me that he wasnt going to seam weld the boxes that werent damaged because the floorpans are heat treated from the factory, so when you reheat them while welding, you are weakening them during welding, so i guess its a 6 one way half dozen type of thing in his eyes. I shouldnt have any problems with the bars tying the upper tq boxes and the subframes supporting the lowers

I will get some better pics of the bar, i took the interior out a few weeks ago, then got some crazy virus for two weeks, and i finally got to paint the cage this past weekend, I ended up using POR 15 and just brushing it on, it came out pretty decent, and that stuff is pretty tough, so i dont think i'll have to worry about it flaking off.

Opening day at Lebanon Valley and i started the season off with some decent results...

the final pass i made was an 11.346 @ 120 mph, i was pretty excited, i had a grin the size of texas when i got the timeslip.

New Goal, run a high 10 second pass on Motor.
