GM TBI or Holley Projection

I have to say the TBI swap is much simpler and cheaper, assuming you scrounge all te parts you need, cheaper on that page than even a carb...go for TBI, or if you need more tunabilility you could always use Megasquirt ECU in conjunction with the GM TBI unit....you'll still come out for less than half of the projection system

Holley 600 vacumn secondary, Edlebrock Performer RPM with the largest AC/DELCO paper element filter you can put under the hood. And before anyone starts singing the K&N song...a 14"x2" stock AC/DELCO flowed 550 cubic feet per minute (enough for about 375 hp) and filtered particles much smaller than the K&N that flowed 900 cfm...does your engine flow 900 cfm? Didn't think so.

I think the TBI swap is a good idea, but would reccomend the megasquirt ECU instead of the GM ECU. It's a lot steeper of a learning curve, but it's pretty darn cool to be able to tune with a laptop.

Check out my EFI build, I went TBI using a Holley 4bbl TBI unit and Megasquirt.

Yea, your write up is what got me thinking of TBI EFI, I’m just a little intimidated by the Mega Squirt and don’t wanna have the car setting for months while if learn MS, that's why I'm looking for an easy route.

I would like to go MS but will need to do much more research.
